Omegle alternatives with a gender filter
Omegle is gone, and most of the popular alternatives have no free gender filter. Here's what each one offers, and how to add a free filter to the ones that don't.
The quick list
Prices and features change often, so check each site before paying.
- OmeTV: no gender filter. Add one free with ChoosyChat.
- Umingle: no gender filter. Add one free with ChoosyChat.
- MiniChat: add a free filter with ChoosyChat.
- Shagle: gender filter for paying members.
- Azar: gender preference using in-app Gems.
- Chatrandom: has a gender filter.
Built-in filters vs camera filters
A built-in filter uses the gender people choose for themselves. Anyone can pick anything, so you still meet people who don't match.
ChoosyChat works differently. It looks at the actual camera and skips people who don't match. It also skips dark cameras and empty rooms.
Best free option
If you like OmeTV, Umingle or MiniChat, keep using them and add ChoosyChat. You get 50 free automatic skips every day, with no account.
